Terms of Service

The Other Side of Rock Bottom, Inc.

Effective October 25, 2026

Welcome to The Other Side of Rock Bottom, Inc. (OSRB). These terms explain the expectations for using our website and participating in our meetings, online community, and programs.

Our purpose is to offer hope, connection, and free peer recovery support. By using our website or participating in OSRB activities, you agree to follow these terms and any additional guidelines explained for a particular meeting or program.

Peer Support and Personal Choice

OSRB provides peer support, shared lived experience, educational information, and community connection. We do not provide medical diagnosis, psychotherapy, clinical treatment, medication management, or emergency services.

Information shared by hosts or participants should not replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Do not start, stop, or change prescribed treatment based on a meeting discussion.

We respect different recovery pathways, including medication-supported recovery. Participants must not pressure others to stop prescribed medication or follow a particular treatment or recovery approach.

Participation is voluntary. You may pass when invited to share, decline to discuss personal experiences, or leave a meeting.

Respectful Participation

Everyone deserves dignity and respect. Participants are expected to:

  • Respect other people’s identities, pronouns, beliefs, boundaries, and recovery pathways.
  • Follow host guidance and allow others a fair opportunity to speak.
  • Avoid harassment, threats, bullying, discriminatory remarks, unwanted sexual attention, and sharing someone’s private information without permission.
  • Avoid graphic descriptions when they are unnecessary, and respect a host’s request to redirect a discussion.
  • Refrain from selling products, recruiting participants, or soliciting money from members without OSRB leadership’s approval.
  • Use meeting links and access details responsibly.

Disagreement is allowed. Harmful or disruptive conduct is not.

Faith and Inclusion

Faith is part of OSRB’s identity, and some activities include prayer, Scripture, or Bible study. People of all faiths and no faith are welcome.

You do not have to adopt a religious belief or participate in a religious activity to receive peer recovery support. Participants must respect one another’s freedom of belief.

Privacy and Meeting Confidentiality

OSRB does not record recovery meetings or use meeting transcription or AI-generated meeting notes.

Participants must not record, photograph, screenshot, or transcribe meetings, including through AI tools. Do not share another participant’s identity, attendance, or personal disclosures outside the meeting without their permission.

We expect confidentiality, but we cannot guarantee that every participant will follow these rules. Please make thoughtful choices about what you share.

OSRB requires specific written permission before publicly sharing an identifiable participant’s photo, testimonial, or recovery story. Additional information appears in our Privacy Policy.

Host Decisions and Community Safety

Hosts may redirect discussions, mute participants, stop disruptive behavior, or remove someone from a meeting when necessary to protect the group.

OSRB leadership may restrict or end participation because of serious or repeated violations. Immediate removal may be necessary when conduct threatens safety or causes harm.

Questions or concerns about a decision may be directed to Kathy. Raising a concern does not guarantee reinstatement.

Emergencies and Urgent Needs

OSRB meetings, email, website forms, and social media messages are not emergency services and are not monitored continuously.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger or experiencing a medical emergency, contact local emergency services. Do not wait for an OSRB response.

Donations and Program Resources

Donations are voluntary. A donation is not required to attend our free peer recovery meetings and does not purchase special access, influence, or a guaranteed outcome.

Online donations are processed through OSRB’s PayPal donation page. PayPal’s applicable terms and privacy practices also apply.

If you believe a donation was made in error, contact Kathy promptly. Requests will be reviewed individually, subject to applicable requirements and payment-provider procedures.

Dignity Backpacks and other program resources depend on available supplies, funding, and program guidelines. Contacting OSRB does not guarantee that a particular item or assistance will be available.

Website Content and Outside Services

OSRB’s original website materials, name, and logo belong to OSRB. Other materials remain the property of their respective owners.

You may share links to our public pages. Obtain permission before reproducing substantial portions of our original materials or using our logo in a way that suggests OSRB’s endorsement.

Do not disrupt the website, misuse forms, impersonate another person, or attempt unauthorized access.

Our website may link to outside services, including Zoom, PayPal, and social media platforms. Their terms apply when you use those services. A link does not necessarily mean OSRB endorses everything published there.

Availability and Outcomes

We work to keep information accurate and services available, but schedules, hosts, programs, and website content may change. Technology problems or other circumstances may interrupt access.

We cannot guarantee a particular recovery outcome or uninterrupted service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Updates and Contact

We may revise these terms as our services and practices change. The effective date will appear on this page.
